Interventions to Tackle Organizational Behavioural Issues
Facing high level of attritions and lack of warmth and empathy within teams was recognized as a key issue in developing an innovation driven mindset and teams. UCC was consulted to identify the undercurrents and provide insights to help build a world class team where employees feel safe, valued and cultivate a culture of innovation.
Approach
UCC brainstormed with the leadership team and arrived at a series of custom designed Design Thinking Workshops that would enable teams to develop a sense of empathy, create a safe place to voice their threats and opinions and together arrive at a set of solutions that will help build a team that achieves and personal and professional success.
Impact
Embracing ambiguity is one of the principles of Design Thinking and in our workshop we practiced this principle to the hilt. What started as a conversation on conducting an introductory session on Design Thinking turned into a rich, immersive, and participatory workshop to solve a complex, multi-layered human behaviour centred problem. While a solution is nowhere close, at the end of the workshop, we walked away understanding the problem deeper, gaining clarity on what problem needs to be solved. The safe environment filled with empathy helped professionals across career levels break the dense, impregnable walls of hierarchy and open up to share their real thoughts.
