Impact of Cultural Understanding to Design a Regional Specific Colour Catalogue
UCC collaborated with The Turtle Story to achieve a 360°, cohesive and in-depth understanding of the way homes in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are designed so that the insights reflect and contribute to the design of the Regional Colour Book for the two states.
Approach
To accomplish an in-depth understanding of home design in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, UCC initiated the study with secondary research for a foundational understanding of existing trends. Further, in-depth interviews offered a closer look at individual perspectives and allowed us to delve into the intricacies of homeowners' decision-making processes, ensuring a holistic and nuanced exploration of the subject matter.
Impact
The study illuminated detailed analysis of the behavioural and socio-cultural factors that play a crucial role in the choices made by the homeowners and the expectations of all the stakeholders from a Regional Colour Book for the two states. Our report went beyond the scope of the Regional Colour Book to highlight the opportunities in the homeowners decision-making journey where interventions can be created to help them make faster, fail-proof decisions.
